What we learn

This was probably the hardest lessons learned for my husband and I. Our smart, sharp and driven little girl changed after her encounters with Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy.  We were repeatedly told that they didn’t if she would (insert action: walk, talk, speak, eat, sit, live) ever again.   It’s a most liberating thing to enjoy your child as they are in that precise moment but it’s the most debilitating thing to not be able to help them in planning their future.
